About Yan

Yuyan is a qualitative UX Researcher who is passionate about deep-diving into the hearts of people to understand them and their environments.

At the heart of her motivations for UX research is her empathy, compassion and relentless focus on making people’s lives better, towards achieving sustainable development goals for social good.

She has worked with start-ups, SMEs, and non-profit groups and have experience across multi-sectors in sustainability, health, fitness/wellness and luxury retail.

With tons of dynamism and resilience, she works with teams that drives a human-centered design process to tackle challenges, advocating users’ needs and communicating appropriately with stakeholders with a focus on facilitating open and honest communication amongst cross-functional diverse teams.

She is a natural systems-thinker with a knack for identifying patterns, trends and connections within the larger ecosystems.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science (Food Science and Technology) at the National University of Singapore.

Outside of her professional work, she loves her Spotify ( thinks that this is one greatest digital invention), the long arduous Hikes in big open nature and fundamental Movement practice (as time permits).
